“Penta Gem uses a hybrid axis system of face and corner turning dodecahedron, it has 3 face-turning axes with the same cut depth of Pyraminx Crystal and 1 corner-turning axis with the same cut depth of Chopasaurus Jr.
I got the inspiration of this puzzle from Basic Gem and Junior Gem, The geometries of these two puzzles share similar characteristics: one is composed of square faces and pentagonal faces, while the other has regular hexagonal faces and pentagonal faces. So what is the geometric shape "between" them? I think it's a dodecahedron. So I adopted a similar design concept as these two puzzles, making a similar cutting pattern on the dodecahedron. This cube has been printed by two kinds of method & material:
1. Light Green color : printed by SLA with Resin size 7.0cm N.Weight ~135g G.Weight: 400g condition: 100% brand new, stickers placed.
2. Black color: Printed by SLS with Nylon, size 7.0cm N.Weight ~120g G.Weight: 380g condition: 100% brand new, stickers placed.
Storage remind: 1. HDT of resin is approx. 55℃/131℉, so it’s necessary to store it in a cool place. 2. Resin is an easily oxidized material, so it should be kept in a dry place without sunlight. It’s suggested to put it in the original box, and it’s not a good choice to keep it on the cabinet or shelf directly. 3. The surface of the Nylon printed version is kind of no so smooth so the stickers may not easy to attach on. So please not replace the stickers if NOT necessary.
