VeryPuzzle Super Star II – Anti Illegal Moves Edition

The legendary Super Star returns — rebuilt with an anti-illegal move mechanism.

First released in 2012 and sold out since 2017, the VeryPuzzle Super Star has been one of the most requested remakes in the community. Now, VeryPuzzle is bringing it back as the Super Star II.

Based on the dodecahedron-small triambic icosahedron compound (DSTIC) geometry, this is the edge-only Tuttminx equivalent to Alexander's Star. For this 2026 edition, the core mechanism has been completely overhauled to physically prevent illegal moves, reducing wobbling and catching for a much more stable solve.

Customization & Sticker Schemes

The Super Star II ships with an extended sticker set, allowing you to choose your preferred visual and difficulty level. Historically, the TwistyPuzzles community has developed several distinct stickering schemes that completely change the solving experience:

1. The Alexander's Star Scheme: The classic approach, utilizing symmetric color patterns. It looks striking, but creates many duplicate edge pieces, making the solve slightly easier.

2. The Hidden Geometry (Burgo's Scheme): A visually stunning method that uses contrasting warm/cool colors to reveal the underlying dodecahedron structure. This effectively turns the puzzle into "two puzzles in one" for a much higher spatial challenge.

3. The Unique Edge Scheme: The ultimate hardcore mode. By using extremely specific color combinations or tip stickers, every single edge piece is made unique—perfect for purists who want the absolute maximum difficulty.
