since the thin layers can't scramble with each other, the only way for pieces to swap is to do 3x3 moves. as such, this puzzle is only usable as a 3x3, although with reduced difficulty due to equivalence between many pieces. a fun addition to the collection, but not a truly solvable 3x3x6.
